Dev Update #7

Characters can now carry things. Containers, items, visibility controls, and real-time updates.

dev-update

Two big additions landed this cycle. Your characters can now carry things, and we’ve done the unglamorous but necessary work of legal compliance.

Inventory

Characters now have inventories. When a character joins a game, they get an inventory container automatically. GMs can create additional containers for shared loot, shop stock, or anything else that needs tracking.

Items live inside containers. Each item has a name, description, quantity, and flexible properties that GMs can define however their game system needs. Equip and unequip items with a click. Drag to reorder.

Visibility controls let GMs decide who sees what. A container can be public (everyone sees it), GM-only, or visible only to the character’s owner. Handy for secret loot or hidden quest items.

Inventory changes update in real time. If the GM adds an item to your pack, you see it appear without refreshing. There’s more to come here as we refine the editing experience.

Registration now asks users to accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy separately. Each one gets its own checkbox, and the version they accepted is recorded. When we update either document, users are prompted to review and accept the new version before continuing.

Not the most exciting feature, but the right thing to do.
